Two months before I came to Canada, I was really scared to leave my family, my friends and Germany behind me. On the one hand, I didn't want to leave but on the other hand I knew that I had to go.

The first month being here was hard, I didn't have lots of friends, I missed what I had to leave behind and my host family was just new to me. Now I am amazed! I totally love and adore the people here more than I ever thought would be possible. Canada became my other fatherland and I feel like being home. Now that I have to leave in 3 1/2 weeks, I don't want to go home. Don't get me wrong, I love my friends and family in Germany, I just would like to stay a little longer. But I am coming back in the mid of July till the end of August during summer break, to visit all my friends and my host family here ! I am really looking forward to that ! Going on exchange helped me a lot. Through the experiences I've made here I gained a lot more respect, responsibility and love, I learned to be thankful for having such a wonderful live and I learned to be myself no matter what, I learned that real friends are family and that family, friends and to be happy who you are, are the most important things in your live. I learned to accept things how they are and much more...nothing else could'ver taught me that.

I am really thankful for being able to do this exchange and I suggest to everybody else to do it !

I want to say thanks. Thanks to my parents and my sister, because they made it possible for me to come here. Thanks to my friends in Germany for not forgetting me and being real good friends. Thanks to my host family, who welcomed me in their live and who let me stay at their house. Thanks to my friends in Canada I'll never forget you guys and I am going to stay in touch with you and visit you all.
